Fuji Xerox of Shanghai Limited was set up on November 4, 1987. It is a joint venture with an investment of US$ 38 million by Fuji Xerox (China) Limited, Shanghai SMPIC CORPORATION, Fuji Film (China) Ltd., and Shanghai Jiu Shi Company. Fuji Xerox of Shanghai was the only enterprise in the industry that received the "Quality Management Award" from the Shanghai Municipal Government in 1990. In 1992, Fuji Xerox of Shanghai gained ISO9001 certificate.From 1992 to 1994, Fuji Xerox Shanghai was named as "the Advanced Foreign Enterprise of Profit and Foreign Exchange 
Generation" for three consecutive years, and its products were granted the "Golden Bridge Award" by the former Ministry of Internal Trade for two consecutive years. It has also gained the title of "High Technology Enterprise" in Shanghai. In 1998, Fuji Xerox of Shanghai gained 14,000 certificates. In 2001, Fuji Xerox Shanghai was awarded the title of "Top 10 enterprise of China Machinery Industry in 2000" by China United Federation of Industry and Economy, China United Federation of Machinery Industry and China Machinery News. In 2002, Fuji Xerox of Shanghai was named "Top 500 in Sales of China Machinery Industry" by China Machinery Industry Yearbook. In 2003, the company's WC Pro 420/415 digital copier/printers were identified by five Chinese ministries as "2003 State Key New Products". In 2004, the company received "2003 National Award of Double Excellency of Foreign Invested Company".
